Description

This education evening is designed to enhance GP training in the diagnosis and management of Non-Melanoma skin cancer in the primary care setting and facilitate engagement in the SLAM model of tertiary level management of these lesions.

Dr Michael McKeough, General Practitioner & Registrar for the SLAM project

Learning outcomes:

  • A safer approach to diagnosis and management of non-melanoma skin cancer
  • Appreciate the risks and benefits of different skin biopsy techniques
  • Understand the key elements of a referral to facilitate the SLAM Model of tertiary care.
  • Gain exposure to tertiary techniques in wound closure and reconstruction
